Tuesday September 17, Loudoun Valley hosted Potomac Falls at Loudoun Valley High School in a rematch from the opening game of the season that the Vikings won 1-0.

Potomac Falls came out pushing the attack tried to keep possesion of the ball.  However, Valley's defense was too strong.  Sophomore Defensive Back, Carlea Dawson kept thwarting the Potomac Falls attack.  The majority of the game was played between the 30 yard lines, with neither team generating much offense.  The first half ended in no scores. 0-0.

The Vikings started the second half strong.  Junior Forward, Charlotte Alto,  made a steal on a free hit by Potomac Falls at Valley's 40 yard line and proceeded to make an impressive drive to the top of the circle and passed the ball up to Senior Forward, Sarah Thompson who put the ball in the back of the net. Valley 1- Pot Falls 0.

At 23:42 in the second half, Thompson returned the favor by passing the ball to Charlotte for an assist.

The Alto-Thompson show hit one more time in the second half, Alto to Thompson to finish the scoring on the night.  Valley 3 Pot Falls 0.

The second half belonged to the Vikings.  Potomac Falls Midfield put up a strong fight, but Valley just had too much for them.  Valley was able to extend their bench and got great minutes and contributions from all players on the field allowing them to have their legs at the end of the game and pull away for the win.
