Loudoun Valley Athletic Booster Scholarship 2021
Every year, we award a limited number of scholarships to Senior Athletes, who have contributed in a positive manner to the Valley Athletics and the school. These scholarships are one time grants, designated to assist student athletes pursuing further education. The scholarships are intended to recognize a range of outstanding graduating athletes/students of Loudoun Valley High School.
In May 2021, the Loudoun Valley Athletic Boosters will again award a total of $2,000 to 2 student-athletes and $1,500 to 4 student-athletes.

To be a candidate for a Loudoun Valley Athletic Booster Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a member of an athletic team of Loudoun Valley High School as a player,
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Acceptance at a four-year college
- Coach’s written recommendation
- Completed application (including essay question)
- Volunteer hours
- Other non-volunteer extracurricular activities
- Volunteer hours at LVVAA sponsored events
The deadline for application submission is Friday, April 30, 2021.
Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
Are only varsity level athletes eligible to apply?
No, any student who has been a member in good standing of a Valley sports team (freshman/JV/V) is eligible to apply.
What if I only played one season of a freshman sport?
You are eligible to apply.
How can I use the scholarship?
Loudoun Valley Athletic Booster puts no restrictions on the use of the scholarships it awards. The only expectation is that the successful applicant will use the funds for college expenses.
Do I have to report the Scholarship on my Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form?
It is the responsibility of the student and parents (or guardians) to report scholarships on FAFSA forms. Loudoun Valley Athletic Booster does not track or monitor such reporting.
Who makes the scholarship decisions?
A Scholarship Committee established of at least one Loudoun Valley Athletic Booster Board Member, parent volunteers and the LVHS Athletic Director participate in scoring and make a final selection decision. Parents who have a student applying for a Loudoun Valley Athletic Booster Scholarship may not serve on the Committee.
May I still apply if I don’t plan to go to college?
No. Only those students who will be attending a college, university, or institution of higher learning are eligible.
